..

Between 10 and 20 percent of all vehicles brands and types have problems according to Consumer Reports.

... Many things can cause the gasket to leak. Could be flaws in the gasket, head to block mating surface, flaw in the programming of the assembly machine and even a bad knock sensor.

My frontier is now nine years old with zero problems <knocks on wooden head/>

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Corn Ethanol = Renewable Energy? BS

"When you take out more nutrients and organic matter from the soil than you put back in, you are "mining" the topsoil. The organic matter is especially important, since that’s what prevents erosion, improves soil structure, health, water retention, and gives the next crop its nutrition. Modern agriculture only addresses the nutritional component by adding fossil-fuel based fertilizers, and because the soil is unhealthy from a lack of organic matter, copes with insects and disease with oil-based pesticides."

lakota,

i thought the same thing you did at first.

but, i figured if it were just a bad gasket, then it would possibly have already happened.

yes, they are covering the repairs. it is still under warranty.

but i'm just irritated with it and tired of taking it to the dealership, here's why:

1. idler pulley had to be replaced.

2. was leaking oil, they said faulty oil cap, but i think its been the gasket all along.

3. door locks acting crazy, and they didnt exactly figure that out. it fixed itself.

4. now, back in for the oil leak.

5. oh and the springs keep squeeking in the back.

but dont get me wrong, i still love the freakin truck!

i had a squeaking problem in the back as well... took it in the first time, and they replaced the right leaf spring.....problem remains....took it in again, and they replaced the left leaf spring, not only does the squeaking remain, but they  also returned the truck to me with my steering wheel offset!!!..... so i took it in a third time and gave them hell....they finally readjusted my steering wheel and found out that the squeaking problem was actually the backplate squeaking only when the handbrake was applied.....so forget about your springs and try to jump on the bed with the handbrake disengaged...see if squeaking remains

i took my truck in several times right after purchase... and i came to the conclusion that .techs  nowdays dont really know much about jack crap... all they do is throw parts at everything because all they know is how to install new parts.....they never fix jack. got a slight problem with the transmission?? put a new one in lol....if there is a problem that they cant fix with a new part, they eighter say "unable to duplicate problem" or "it is normal, we have a truck just like it that does the same"...pigs
