2 codes knock sensor and tank fuel temp sensor. i have never heard of a fuel temp sensor til now.... im use to hondas tho.

heres the issue. i can put my truck into park rev it and its fine. but as soon as i put it into drive it wants to bog down and die. after giving it gas to go. its a 98 2wd 4cyl. stock motor. nothing done to it at all. only 92k miles. any help?? anyone have this same issue and figure it out?

i calld the nissan dealership around me. the guy i talkd to had never sold a fuel tank temp sensor. he couldnt even really tell me where it was. besides in the tank somewhere. like i said im use to hondas. bad knock sensor it would run in limp mode. but would still run.

..

98frontizzy;

... Several things can make the fuel in the tank too hot. It might be the return of fuel from the hot engine compartment back to the tank and/or a bad electric motor on the fuel pump overheating. The fuel in the tank acts as a coolant for the electric motor and running with less than five gallons can cause the motor to run too hot. Modified exhaust systems or ‘bad cats’ can add heat to the fuel tank.

Look for the wiring going into the tank, unplug the wiring and re-plug them. It may be a bad connection.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Well I was trying to give you a picture, but it is in the tank for sure.

There is a testing procedure for it, but I'm having a hard time copying it right now.

so u think it may be a bad motor? i just put a new gas tank in it. my old one had rusted from the inside out. so i got a used one. it was nasty on the inside. but no holes. but i cleand the hell out of it. before i put it in. and u just put a new filter in it to. the inline on the frame. i thought that might have been the problem. but when the problem started. it wasnt bad. then it just got worse the more i drove it. i barely made it home. i put it in drive and let it coast. i couldnt push the gas cause it would die.

From what I'm reading, if you took the old tank out, you could have missed connecting a ground wire somewhere.

I would double check everything that came off.  There could have been a hose that came loose.
