Its happend twice now, and i've tried to remove variables. my tire pressure is at 38psi on all four corners and has been now for at least 3 months since the first time my tpms sensor light came on, and the second time was the same situation... same tire pressure... both times were on the high way after about 2 hours of high way driving... I know that the sensor will default at 30psi because of low pressure, but could this be faulty? Has any one else experianced this issue?

When the light comes on, it flashes for a minute, then comes on for about maybe another min , but solid, then after about 30 seconds it would just go out compleatly. i didnt see anything in the manual?  has any one seen a compleat adobi acrobat version of the repair manual for the newer frontiers yet?

thanks

nate

When I put my new tires on mine, I was having the same problems. The tire people told me I should remove them all together, and said they would do it for me. But then they told me the light would stay on forever after that, so I kept them in place. I guess I could have removed the bulb after that, but didn't wanna do that either, lol.

I guess the moral of this story: The tire people said they have seen this numerous times, just from being faulty, so it's not just you.

na, these are the original tires, have never been off, and have never placed aftermarket wheels on it. So im leaning towards defectivness? but im leaning towards removing all together with the light... i can kick my tires just as hard as the sensor does, and my butt will feel the tires going soft before they even reach 30 psi anyways... so it's sorta ... a soccer mom feature...

It's a good thing for soccer moms becuase they're on the cell and will never notice the light. Soon the manufactures will be putting a 100 decible audio warning dinger in the system instead of the light.

... We test drove a new '08 Versa (a Mexican built, French designed Nissan) and it seemed worth the discounted price but a little under powered. The dash light for the tire sensor was on. I told the salesman if he could turn it off we might buy the car... He said it couldn't be done... So we took off to see a Toyota dealer.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Higher fuel mileage?

We need a government study to show the benefits of making ethanol from Marijuana plants.

Alas .. Probably be more suicides from those trying to die by exhaust fumes.

its illegal to remove or alter factory safety equipment. Besides, they work
"so well", that it will soon be mandtory equipment on all vehicles. I ALSO
found that the set psi was incorrect for my truck anyhow, it has been
burnng my tires out really fast. It is set for a high load and I rarely run
fully loaded. I am running at 32 and it seems to have helped the wear
issues totally. Unfortunately, this happens to be 6 psi under the reco 38.
And the light comes on after only a 4 psi drop. Good times. I just let my
light do its own thing anyhow. It flashes and blinks and stays on a t
random intervals anyhow. I asked all tire shops here and the dealers if
they could remove or modify or recalibrate it and the answer is no. It is a
computer thing, not a sensor thing. So it stays. But believe me, I will not
be getting it reset after I load on my new tires. I also have the feeling
that if you were to dig into the dash cluster you would find it hardwired
into a circuit board or and led that cannot be removed. All the buses I
work on are like that.

Mine has the audible and the light. The daggum things sounds an alarm for about 10-15 seconds, then the light just stays on till I air up whichever tire it it.

It blows my mind the difference in options based on which continent is being shipped to.  Apparently the African model not only has the diesel, but also nine way adjustable suspension?!  Audible alarms, diesels, stereos, tiresetc, doesn't make sense to me.
