So I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with a squeaky serpentine belt? The best way to describe the sound would be it sounds like crickets. Very annoying. I took it to the shop and they agreed that it isn't loose and that the belt is in good condition. I was told that it probably just ins't weather resistant and the weather has taken its toll on it. The vehicle drives fine, but the noise is very annoying. If anyone has any ideas or has had a similiar problem please let me know. Is there any easy fix as opposed to replacing the belt? Thanks for the help.

It's under warranty if you have less than 36,000 miles on it.  Just take it in and tell them it's squeaking, they will replace the belt and the tensioner

This is the same issue that exists on the Xterra since they share the same engine.

There is a TSB for a new serpentine belt and tensioner when the squeek is heard.
