Was wondering if some one could tell how to turn the service engine light off or reset it . I remember some thing about turning the key on and counting  and then turning it off, basically cycling it a few times but don't remember the details. Will write it down this time. thanks  Its a 01 frontier with the  3.3

TRY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES.  THAT WILL CLEAR CODES ON MOST AND RESET THE SERVICE LIGHTS.

Had my SES light reset by an OBD code reader from the local autozone for free but it came back after a few starts. It disppears, then back again (must be the cycle) after months of use. Did the battery disconnect and light did not come on for awhile then lit up once again. My best solution was a black electrical tape on top of it  and did not bother  myself for a long time. But here's what's interesting, battery was discharged last December so I removed it for overnight charging and hooked it back the following day, light has not come on since. Maybe it finally reset itself
