I'm looking at getting a new Frontier and debating King vs Crew cab.  I'd prefer the Crew, but I am going to need to haul an 4x4 ATV (also not purchased yet).  Anyone have any luck getting an ATV in the back of a Crew cab with the shortened box?   Looking at the length dimensions, it looks like its right on the hairy edge.   Any problems with the same on a King?  Thanks in advance for your insight.

I have a 2002 Honda Rancher and it fits in the back of my CC.  The back tires are on the tailgate but they would be it you had a 6ft bed and a tool box.  If you were really concened you could buy a bed extender.

IIRC the 07s CC will come with a long box. it's one of the reasons I bought an 06 as my garage is a tight fit for the CC. This may help you so check with a dealer.

Leave the tailgate down and use tiedowns. if its any bigger than that put a tag on it and drive it.

I have a 06' Crew Cab NISMO and I put my Brute Force 750 in the back.  I also have a LA Guard dog.  It is a deal that attaches to your receiver hitch and then comes up and hooks onto the ball of your atv.  It is awesome for securing atv's.  I trust it alot more than straps, plus it takes the weight off of your tailgate.  Check em out at laguarddog.com.  They are well worth it.  You can also still attach a trailer to it to tow.

Ok, after reading this and thinking about it for a while, has anyone busted their tailgate cables b/c of their atv's being put on there for an extended period of time?

That is why I use the LA Guard Dog, it takes the weight off of the tailgate.  I can lift the rearend of my ATV up the lock it so it supports all the weight.
