2001 Frontier v6 manual 4wd King cab.

We are looking at buying a new travel trailer and so I got out the owners manual to see what the upper limit was for the truck. I was surprised to see a recommended limit of 5000# for the auto but only 3500# for the manual. Is the darn thing that delicate? I know that I have exceeded this - I use the truck on a farm and haul trailers full of the big round hay bales and it has pulled those fine. Could it be a danger of burning out the clutch?

Just curious if anyone knew what the weak link in the drive train is for the manual.

Also is any additonal cooling needed for long trips?
