... I haven’t looked or seen one for a short bed. I have look at them for our 6’ 2” bed.
... All I’ve seen were 950 to 1150 lbs dry weight. That and the wife and my bodies plus a bag of fritos about equal the max gross loading for the truck. The loading is based on many factors. Some of the big ones are heat build up in the transmission, differentials, axle bearings, engine cooling systems, and over powering/heating the brakes. I gave up the idea. We waited ’til the kids were gone and used a simple camper shell many times.
