Has anybody found a good way to haul bikes (4) with the Frontier (mine is an '07) while towing a trailer at the same time? I can't put them in the back as it will have a cap and be full of my wife's necessities! I was thinking of getting a front mount hitch receiver and putting a rack up from that, however I'm told there are no off-the-rack front hitches for the truck. Does anyone have a non-hitch based front bike rack? The other way I'm considering is getting a towing rack like a Swagman for the rear. But that makes it difficult if not impossible to get into the tailgate when there are bikes on the rack. Thanks for any ideas. Gord

what kind of trailer is it? if its a camper, you can get a bike rack for that. Otherwise, load the bikes on the trailer.

It's a collapsible camper trailer Colin. Racks on the trailer would work for getting to and from campsites, but I'd like to be able to transport the bikes independent of the trailer once camp is set up.

I ended up getting a 4 bike Swagman "towing rack" for about 300 bucks. It puts the ball out a couple feet beyond the bumper so may take some getting used to. But it gives me some options once I get to the campground. Drawback is not being able to get into the tailgate while bikes are on.
