Aiki, this is a great find!  I like the looks of this rack / carrier.  It seems they've found a way to get it to "stick" to the steep slope above the doors.  I'd like a longer bar across the width of the rack so I can offset my canoe and still find room for my wife's kayak, but if they don't have such I'm sure I can rig something up using this rack as a base.  The site also lists a front hitch receiver for the new Frontier which I couldn't find at any of the local shops - not exactly hidden but it should do the trick to allow me to haul some bikes in front.

I was going to mention, I saw a post on ClubFrontier forum where the fellow had mounted a Thule rail system on his roof.  It looked good, but required drilling a bunch of holes through the roof.  I have been mentally preparing myself to do that, but now it may not be necessary.

I've heard the only option, if you don't have a factory rack install, is a rack that sits on tracks on the bed of your truck.  It's made by Trac Rac.  It basically looks like those frames you see in the backs of truck to haul lumber and ladders.

I am updating a past post about the aftermarket rack.   I did order the rack and install it on my truck.  I had a real hard time with 4x4parts.com.  First, I had paid for the rack and waited to have it shipped.  Well, after ten days of the order still being processed and my credit card being charged, I started to send emails and phone calls.  After four phone calls and numerous emails, I get no response.  I look on line at my order status agin on day 12 to find the total on the bill was $350 plus shipping when the amount I purchased it for originally  was $205 plus shipping.  Finally, I sent one last email threatening to take further action if I did not recieve a response.  I got a phone call.  I wound up paying an additional $45 plus the original amount and the rack finally shipped ( three days after I was promised it would)!  When I got it here, the instructions were missing and some of the bolts were gone.  I again, emailed them and they said if I looked at the parts list (i.e. instructions) to find out what bolts were missing, they would send them.  Keep in mind I told them I recieved NO instructions as well as no bolts.  I figured out how to install the rack in about an hour.  To be honest, I was hoping for the thing to wow me after what I went through, but truthfully, the rack is poorly made and the mounting system sucks.  The only reason I still have it on my truck is because I went through so much to get it I feel I have to use it.

Man that sounds like a hell of an ordeal, anyone else had any experience with, or I should say a bad experience with this company, that makes me cringe thinking about it, because they indicated that they are working on street legal headers for the 01-04 model frontys, and I'd sure hate to have them be POS's and also have to put up with so much BS to get some, I'd rather just take my chances with the SLR headers then, when the time comes and if I decide to get after it that much.
