After watching this years Daytona 500 Dale Jr and nascar both get bonehead of the year. After Dale jr wreaked half the feild and damn near killed vickers. Nascar did nothing but one day earlier a toyota driver did somthing simuliar and was parked for 5laps Dale jr got one more pass I guess that money GM got went into nascars back pocket. one PEED ROWDEY FAN

Glad I wasn't watching, I would have broken my 61".  Of course as long as Jr. didn't touch McMurray all is good.

You see the Nationwide series where Jr's new driver almost took him out at pitrow?  Priceless.  I like this new driver.

..

The Anointed One of NASCAR can do no wrong!  Vickers did hit Jr. first but Jr. did screw up! Yup, I like Rowdy and the Hendricks group except Jr..

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

I watched the race up to this point and turned it off.  I watch NASCAR less and less because of all the rules, the failure to enforce safety rules and the identical nature of all of the cars.   But since they sold out all 200,000 seats, I guess there are those who will pay to watch no matter what idiots are driving.

NASCAR is a far cry from what it was many years ago when there was real brand competition, stocks cars were basically tinkered up real cars and you drove what you could put on the track.

I watch for the crashes just like the majority of everyone else.  And to hope that one day my Crown Royal car will steal that flag.

Now if the 21 car got into that mess. This Elliott fan would went nutts. Been a fan ever since I was 4. Now after all that mess a clean cut driver won that seems to be the only silver lining to the whole Daytona 500.

I watched the video on nascar.com, I must say the only thing that probably kept him from getting the 5 lap penalty was the fact it "looked" like he was trying to blend back in and his spoiler strut brace caught Vickers.  Honest mistake with the "car of tomorrow"  LOL.  Of course also watching it, it seemed like Jr pulled Vicker's draft and made his rear end go loose and didn't even touch him coming back up.  I think he just got into a bad situation trying to follow Nascar's rules in regards to the double yellow line.

Granted it doesn't get Jr. off the hook in my eyes.  Bastard ruined my Crown car.    At least the decent thing to do was hit the wall with everyone else.

Jr had to get Vickers (first car lap down) out of the way so he could be the first car a lap down. The rule said if you were the cause/involved causing the yellow flag you don’t get a lap back. It may be arguable about fault but he was involved yet got his lap back. You see he can walk on water! And you thought Bill France owned NASCAR...

I have hundreds of NASCAR races on tape and DVD.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Democratic Senator Barney Frank said, after writing the first bail-out bill with zero over-sight that he thought the Wall Street bankers would do the right thing.  And sure enough they did! They lined their own pockets with millions and we still don’t know what happened to all the rest of the money!
