I am looking to customize my dash some and get a different color for my gauges and get a new light for the behind the dash because the current bulb is very weak and even at night the dash is pretty dim.  I was looking to see if anyone knows what type of bulb is needed.  I am having difficulty trying to find out what type.  On forums on other sites ive heard type 74 thrown around a couple times but havent really found anything definate. I've heard of LED's being bright but the coverage area is smaller so you dont get an even distribution of light across the panel.

Does anyone know of a good bulb that can be used to get a bright light that will fit?
