   Just thought I would share my "system" with everyone that I recently completed installation of. I started out with just the head unit shortly after purchase about 6 months ago and did the rest in stages, starting with door speakers, door speaker amp, and then subs and sub amp. I am very pleased with the way it sounds and the the bass output. I did all the work myself, having professional experience from "back in the day". I am now a professional mechanic, and I forgot what having a nice system was all about.

     Most of the gear was bought used from Ebay and Craigslist. The only things I bought new was the sub box, from Supercrew Sound, and the subs themselves, from Ebay. I have about $800 invested total, and it sounds like much more money was spent.

       The front and rear door speakers are (German made) MB Quart RCE216's, powered by a U.S. Acoustics 50x4 amp. The subs are new Pioneer shallow mounts (cant remember the model number, but they are currently available) that only need .5 cube feet of airspace per speaker. They work perfectly in the Supercrew box and produce bass that makes them sound like 12's

. I did have to trim the rubber rings on the subs to get them to fit in the box. They are powered by a Rockford Fosgate 250 x 2 (2 ohms) amp that sounds like it has more power than the rating states. Both of these amps were purchased used for a price that was not much more then a tank of gas, and are both mounted under the driver's seat so I can have some storage under the passenger seat. I was worried about alternator whine since power and signal wires ate so close, but so far so good. Both amps were made in the USA, old school rules! Also, the "bass knob" for the sub amp is mounted in an unused switch plate in the dash. That took some trimming of the circuit board.

The head unit is a JVC that, while nothing exotic, sounds very nice. I am thinking of replacing it with an in dash navigation unit when funds allow. I really wish that the frontiers were available with the same indash nav system that the Pathfinders come with. I also with we (usa) could get the new diesel version, but that's for another thread.

I have many pics, so I will shut up, post them, and see what you think.

Move the photo to "My Pictures' (smaller than 800 pixels wide) in your computer.

Then click on the left blue arrow in the menu above. Then Click brows int he pop-up menu... look for My Pictures then scan for the file name of your picture and click that.

High light the URL...right click it... click copy... move to spot that you want the Hyperlink... Left click... then click on Paste in the pop-up.

Well, here they are, but way too big. I did resize them to 800x600, so I don't know. Photo editing is not my cup o tea. I was way too tired last night and frustrated. I have more, but you get the idea. I do love this truck and system.

I only checked the size of one photo... it was 1280 wide (possibly because they were horizoltal and touching) . The other problem was you posted them horzonaly that causes veiwers to have to scroll to view pictures and to read the text. If the photos were smaller I could have stacked them verticlally for you. Please give it another try... lakota
