Well seeing how I do not have keyless entry on my truck I need to get an alarm.  I visited an alarm shop and they were way overpriced for basic alarm systems.  I wanted to know where to buy online, and what you guy have the most experience with.

I wanted to know if there is an online wiring diagram with wire colors and locations, I may end up installing myself.

DEI is by far the best alarm system out there, with one of the best support structures for wiring and customers.

http://www.directed.com/Default.aspx

The company actually owns a few brands.  Viper, Python, Valet, Astroflex, and AstroStart, just to name a few.  I've got an Astrostart on my Highlander, love it to death and only have one problem with it.  (Whenever I leave a door open for a long period of time, the remote FOB beeps over and over)  Other than that, it has worked perfectly over the past 2 1/2 years.

BTW... when I installed my friend's system, I saved several other wiring instructions for the Frontier.  I currently have up to 2005.

buy and autopage. usually less expensive than the dei stuff (although dei does make a good product) but hae started to make a few more advancements than dei who has had a small decline in quality in the past few year imo.

And if you have never installed an alarm before i wouldnt go rushing into doin in yourself. New vehicles can be very tricky. Your truck doesnt need any bypasses though.
