... Your question can’t be answered because production line vehicle do vary a bit and some drivers can destroy any truck.

... I have driven many Bugs and busses since the mid ‘50s … that’s the 1950s… but only owned a ‘67 Bug. From what I’ve seen coming into the shop I hang out at I think I’ll stay with Nissans.

I agree. Only air cooled VWs for me. We own a '02 jetta, which in my opinion is garbage. I also bought a golf back in '95, but it was the same thing with the electrics. I think I've finally come to my senses.....not to mention that the dubs do not hold there value for resale. We lost 10K on the jetta!

I drive pretty conservatively - with the intention that the truck will last longer, and do not intend to tow anything unless it is a bug or squareback to restore. What do you think? I am assuming 150K is not unusual.....
