Howdy all, just picked up my new 2005 SE KC.  I went out yesterday and test drove 5 trucks.  The Dakota, Ranger XLT, Tacoma Pre-runner, Colorado and the Frontier.  It was an obvious choice.  I just traded in my 2000 BMW 323i for it.  I needed a truck for work and wanted something with a little bit more fun and durability to it.  I put 24,500 miles on my BMW in just 9 months and I figured it was time for something that would take the beating.  I have to say this truck is a lot of fun, I'm not impressed with the tires on it, General tires aren't one of my choices.  I got the 16" alloys and floor mats, who needs power windows and door locks.  This thing has more horsepower than my old 5.0 Mustang.  Can't wait for it to be broken in.

Chat with you all later!

Brian

Welcome to the org.  The trucks are fun no matter which year you get.

I agree with the tires 100%.  Then I made even worse mistake and put Cooper Trendsetter 2s on.  (tight on money)

I need to change those out sometime.  I'm thinking of ordering some Eldorados in.  Can't find them in the local area.

Thanks!  Try www.tirerack.com I buy my tires from there all the time.  They have the best prices.  Then I just take it to Wally World to get them installed.  Saves a lot!

Unfourtantley they don't carry Eldorados.  I can easily do my own tires as well.  Though I sometimes do get lazy.

Great Choice!! Once that engine breaks in, you're going to be very satisfied.

Check out some of the forums as we've discussed many things you can do to your 05 already, (exhaust, K&N, etc..)

Again, welcome to the org.!

Thanks a bunch!   Today was the first day that I really got to drive it around all day and I am very glad that I bought it.  It is a lot of fun!  I feel like I could just drive over anything.

Most people I run into think it's a Titan.  I just call it Titan Jr.

I think they are faster than the Titan now... I know mine is... The engine seems to respond well to simple, small mods...,

you should get a custom badge to say TITAN JR... and put it on the tailgate where it says FRONTIER. I wonder how people would respond to that?

Have you seen the new Titan Jr...

Realistically though, that's what it is... take a titan F-Alpha Chassis and take a 350z motor and modify both a little bit and bam!! You have an 05 Fronty...
