I’m doing a paper for a marketing class on the Nissan Frontier and could use a little help with some feedback from owners of 2005-2007 Frontiers.

I’ve created a brief survey that shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.

I’d greatly appreciate any help, thanks for your time.

Customer Analysis - Questionnaire for 05+ Nissan Frontier owners:

Nissan: Yes / No

Would you consider the manufacture again for future purchases?
( ) Yes
( ) No
( ) Maybe

Please answer the following questions by scoring your vehicle. Rating is 1 thru 5, 1 being the lowest level of satisfaction and 5 being the highest. Circle scores below.

1) Satisfaction with vehicle exterior styling:

1 2 3 4 5

2) Satisfaction with vehicle interior styling and functionality:

1 2 3 4 5

6) Application of technology available in regards to power train:

9) Overall satisfaction with vehicle:

..

MBAstudent;

I changed the text color so it would be easier to see. Change it back if you care to.

You might ask why I "ain't" buying one of these new Frontiers. I can easily afford a new Frontier, I have the cash on hand.

1. Low profile tires suck. 33”x12.5”x15” is the ticket. Screw the over priced metric stuff.

2. I will only buy 4x4s with 15" wheels or just keep what I have.

3. The automatic transmission shifter should be on the steering column where it is quicker to reach when you have two hands on the steering wheel.

4. I don't like factory floor consoles. Floors are for feet. If a catch all is need I can buy one I like or build it myself.

5. I don‘t want any anti skid rubberized coating in the bed.

6. I don‘t want any extra rails or tie-downs in the bed. Just painted and smooth.

7. What happened to the mini and mid-sized trucks? Every time they change the body it is bigger! If I need a ‘semi‘ I‘ll get a Peterbuilt.

8. My ‘99 3.3 Frontier is slightly under powered but I’m not in a power race. Tell me about fuel mileage!

9. Dana 44 used to be great but today’s versions are not as good as those under my ‘76 Wagoneer that I‘ve been wheeling the last 22 years with zero problems!

10. Speaking of Wagoneers what ever happened to real bumpers.

11. IFS sucks.

I see the 2007 Taco is bloated and too big for my garage.

Guess I'll have to go to the F@rd Ranger store and have a look...

Have a good one and CUL.. Don S..

I have no experience with these vehicles except Nissan, and don't feel qualified to rank them.

11) Please list any areas or features of your vehicle you feel are in need of improvement or that you would like to see incorporated into future models: '

One-piece rear seat, not two single jump seats.

Lighter tail gate or tail gate assist mechanism.

Opening rear windows on King Cab (My '87 had them...adds to ventilation).

Remote lock for gas filler like on autos.

Better quality standard stereo/CD/MP3, not the junk they put in them now (I'll be ordering one from Crutchfield soon, like I did for my other trucks).

12) Was there a motivating factor that pushed you to purchase your vehicle over one from another manufacture in the market (I.E. price, quality, previous experience, etc)?

Definitly prevous experience (1) and quality (2).  This is my 3rd Nissan truck (06 4.0 6-spd).  I still own my 2nd one, a 2000 Frontier.  I've never had to do any engine or tranny work on any of them.

The design of the exterior and interior swayed me over the Tacoma - and no premium fuel required

Mp3 capability standard, aux jack standard (I think they did this in 07, mine is an 06).

Remote lock for gas filler.

Better turning radius.

Nissan warranty on Nismo parts.

More 6spds available, there was only one in my whole state when I bought my truck, hence why I have the automatic.

12) Was there a motivating factor that pushed you to purchase your vehicle over one from another manufacture in the market (I.E. price, quality, previous experience, etc)?

Previous experience with a 2001 Frontier.  Consumer reports long term reliabiltiy predictions.  But most importantly, the fact that Nissan came in about 5,000$ less than a comparably equipped Toyota (the only other compact truck I seriously considered).
