I have a couple questions about my "new" used 01 SC...  First, there is a box below the back window on the inside, looks like a speaker, but there is no sound and there is no "fade" mode in my factory stereo...  Anyone know what that does?  Also, I have the supercharged edition, (just in case not everyone knows what the SC is.) When I rev up hard, I get to about 5000 RPM's and it pretty much gives up.  Its fast as hell for a truck but that seems kind of odd.  Anyone know if that is normal or not?

1st question, that's SHOULD be your RF subwoofer, only like 6" subwoofer though

2nd, Rev limiter, ECU only lets the truck rev so high.

Is there a way to get rid of the limiter?

Reflashing the ECU I believe... check out Spencer Low Racing (can't remember the sites address)  They're supposed to have ECU mods.

www.spencerlowracing.com however last time i looked i didn't see any ECU recal stuff on their site, wouldn't the Jet ECU recal do it as well? that is sold at all kinds of places www.4x4parts.com, www.autoanything.com and other places as well www.truckperformance.com  to name one more. i believe the typical rate is like right around 300 bucks, they'll send you a packing kit for you to remove the ECU, then you send it to them (not sure if it's overnight, but they state on one site i saw that if they recieve it by 10 am they'll have it shipped out the same day and overnighted back to you) and they they send it back to you after they do the recal, also most things i've seen say that you should give them specifics (this is all probably in their instructions i would imagine) about your truck, i.e. of course make and model (SE, CC all that good stuff) and then things like any mod you have done as far as intake, exhaust and anything else you have done to it, oh yeah maybe how much boost your are running on your charger, don't know what the boost is stock, i know it's small from what i've heard

my guess would be that if you are going to to a recal on your ECU you might as well do the exhaust and intake as well because supposedly with a freeer flowing set up you'll notice a diff as well in some power gains with the supercharger on there, maybe obi wan kcidmil (hehe) can give you more insight into that being a beneficial procedure or not

Cool, thanks for all of the info.  I did find out earlier that the stock boost is 7.5 PSI, just in case you were wondering...

didn't have mudflaps... so couldn't tell you.  Also www.jimwolftechnology.com has ECUs, don't know if they have one for your truck though.

Jim wolf tech has not done the flasher for the ecu, they havent had enough request for them so mayme we in the forum can supply enough demand for them to produce one, as for jet tuners, wouldn't let them tune my lawnmower!!! technosquare doesnt mess with anything over 4 yrs old so no help there either. Stage6performance.com has reportedly contacted jim wolf prior. You may find some of their info helpful as well ... 866 678 2436.
