Hello all,
I just bought a 2004 frontier but I'm not sure what model it is. on the back liftgate it says surpercharged but when I open the hood I see no supercharger. It also say Nismo on the front fender. It's a crew cab long bed. What I wanted to know is what model is it and if it really has a supercharged engine? I don't think so because I looked at the owners manual and the engine I have seems to be the vg33e. Please help me out. One other thing is I don't see the supercharger on top of the engine. It just looks the same as the vg33e pictured in the manual.

I think that someone might have just stuck the stickers on it. you could get the vin # and call any Nissan dealer and they should be able to let you know whats going on.

Also the SC I think on the dash some where it says Super Unleaded gas only.

Thanks for the info. I just bought it from a nissan dealership. They said it had a supercharger. They even marked it on the kelly blue book that was on the window. Do you think I should bring it back to them?

Does the motor look like the one I posted? if not then you might have been ripped off. If they Represented it as an 04 SC and its not I would take it back and also have a few choice words to tell them because the probably charge you more for the truck than its worth also.

No it does not it looks like the vg33e in the hand book. Ont he kelly blue book paper that was posted it didn't say what model it was it just said supercharged. I might take it back today after work. Do you think Its worth bringing back I paid $16,199 which is alot to.

I would go to www.kbb.com or www.edmonds.com to check the book value of an SC with the same options that you have then do one for an non SC first also I would run a carfax report also do you have the paper that says it has a SC? if you do then I would march my ass right into the sales managers office and tell him that the next phone call I make will be to an attorney for miss represention of said truck. then go from there. I am not an Attorney so the may tell you so sorry you signed the paper work it depends on how much you are willing to fight and how much of a sence(sp) you want to make.

It doesnt say sc but it does say Supercharged. It means the same thing right?
