Very disapointed with Nissan after taking my 2007 Frontier ( 60,000 mies)in
for a leaking radiator and having them tell me that it was not covered under
the extended warranty. They claim that the transmission has to be affected
for them to replace the radiator, however it does not say that in the extended
warranty letter. I called Nisssan Corporate Offices and they said they would
cover it but they called me back a week later and said they would not. The
dealer wants $ 800. to replace the radiator. As I told the rep this would be
my last Nissan. Customer service with Nissan has been horrible.

Very sorry. That really sucks. Might want to try a quality
after market rad. For $800 they must be trying to cover the
cost of the ones they have to replace no charge!!!!!!

I had the same thing happen. 2007 with almost 70K. Radiator leaking, took it to dealer and they said it isnt part of the ext warranty because it was an external leak and not an internal. Got an after market from the dealer for about 650 installed. Tried calling nissan assist and got so frustrated because I couldnt understand the person on the other end..

Yes , it was very frustrating and when it happend I said I was done with
Nissan. However , a month ago my 2007 Frontier was involved in a hit and
run and totaled. The only other truck I looked at was the Honda Ridgeline
but they were just to pricey for the model I wanted. So I went back to the
Frontier and bought a new 2012 frontier ls. Love the trucks and hoping that
customer service will improve or I will not have to deal with them at all.

When we bought our Xterra I was looking at the Nismo
stuff. Intake, exhaust, etc...
I was reading through the fine print and ran across
something that I about walked away from the sale. (the
boss kept me from doing that, it's her dream vehicle)
Anyway with my x-runner if I have a Toyota dealership
install my supercharger or any TRD part it's covered
under warranty, as long as it's installed during the
warranty period. Nissan will only cover a NISMO part if
it's installed at the time of vehicle purchase. Hmm a
lot of backing of their product isn't there.
