So, I cruise craigslist a bit (yeah I know), and sometimes I see neat things and my mind gets carried away. The other day, I saw a D40 engine for sale, and my mind got to thinking...you can do the D40 to the 5.6 Titan...how about 1 generation earlier? VG33E to D40?!

My mind likes this concept, and although I dont have a ton of mechanical knowledge, I know enough not to ask "How easy is this?" Instead Ill ask if its possible. Keep in mind I wont just be doing it so I dont need an explanation :P More just chewing brain food and wondering if the D40 in the 04 Frontier would be any better than the VG33E.

But, that said, if it could be done without building a new truck from the ground up, and I come across another D40 for cheap...well, no telling what could happen lol.
