Thanks for all the help. I will post again in a few days. The reading was normal, for a full day of driving today, only 25 miles from store to store to do my job of merchandising. I did notice that I seem to have a faint smell of coolant when I come to a stop. Its very faint, I think it could be spilled coolant from the past. It does have me concerned though. As stated before, I cannot find any leaks, the engine runs like new, the temp reading is now reading normal. There are no leaks anywhere. I must stop foaming and rinsing my engine every couple of months, I think I may have gotten water in the electrical bundle under the split tubing, which may have dried out. I replaced about three foot of the tubing since it was looking old and heat checked. I also used electrical tape at the ends of the joints, as it seemed to be from original. The engine is clean, even the underside of the hood. So for now, I will have to see what happens. The only hoses I never replaced, are two short 3 inch long, or so, hoses on the very back of the engine, near the top, they hook to metal pipes. These hoses also seem fine, I got within a few inches of them with my eyes and a high power flashlight, and they seem ok, but eventually I would like to replace the also, but they are held in place with those squees clamps, and I cannot reach them with my hands. I cannot afford to have the intake manifold (I think thats the name of it) removed to get to them, is there any way to replace those hoses without removing the manifold? I deeply appreciate all you help that you have offerd so far. Please offer any more help you can. Sincerely, Mike Magoo, captainmagazine@yahoo.com (guild wars fan).
Have a nice 4th of July Holiday and a good summer.
