I recently posted a problem with my frontier trans leak and had found out the bolts were missing to the flex plate and that broke off the pilot bushing of the torque Converter causing the leak.  I have replaced the Converter and it runs fine except at a stop light or when sitting in traffic the idle is down to 400 or 500 and I have to step on the gas to get it to 750.  Anyone know the best way to fix this problem?

Warm eng to operating temp-rev at 2000 RPM for 2 minutes-
shut off engine-dis connect TPS connector(lower one)-start
eng-rev several times- adj idle speed screw to obtain 700 +
or - 50 RPM- shut off eng-reconnect TPS. The idle speed
screw is on the back of the air chamber-DO NOT ADJUST the
throttle stop screw at the throttle blade!!!!!

Is that the Transmission Position Sensor I dis connect?  What is TPS and where is it? Please help with the location of the Air Chamber, on the throtle body?  Will that fix the idle in Drive.  The idle speed is 750 in park and neutral no problems there!
Thank You so much for the input. When is your birthday? Send me your e-mail and I'll send you a card. I was born in Easton, PA.  Can you suggest KYB or Bilstein or Monroe Prof front shock by part number?  My front shocks are gone. Can I lower the front end by an inch by backing off the torsion bar bolt? Thanks so muchTongueClap My e-mail is at www.althingsfromhim.com

I think it best to get a professional technician to correct
your concern.Bilstein. If you lower the ride height, it
will screw up the front end geometry, will need to properly
align the front suspension.
