I am the new owner of an 02 supercharged crew cab w/long bed. I am thinking of adding a lift kit but dont know which to go with a supsension lift or body...whats the difference between the two and which brand should I go with?

Hey Dominick,

Congrats on your new truck.  I Just bought an '05 myself.  As far as your question goes, I don't know which brands most frontier owners prefer, i do know this however.  A body lift typically uses the stock suspension components with the addition of polyurethane blocks and some small parts for the increased height.  Suspension lifts use longer travel, tougher compenents, replacing your stock ones. Suspension lifts are the way to go if you plan on heavy abuse, oh and if you've got the cash to fork out.  They ain't cheap brother.  If you're looking for a bit more ground clearance then i'd say go with the body lift.  I'm sure someone here can expand on this and give you a better idea or point you in a more clear direction but that should provide a basis.

Good luck!

Hey, Thanks for taking the time to answer. I really dont do much off roading...looking really to get a little more ground clearance so a body lift may be the way to go. I had an 04 Dodge Hemi 1500 and recently got stuck in some mud...to my suprise I could not get out without digging around the tires that were spinning!! I found out quick that a limited slip diff does the oppiste that it should be doing in that situation...cant understand why they work that way...anway no Im looking into the Powertrax No Slip! Like Isaid...I dont off raod much but I also dont want to get stuck! Thanks...
