I had it done a month after I bought it.  Only bought the SE because I wanted the 6-speed in a crew cab. You'll need  the  leftside steering column stalk that includes the fog lamp switch; with the lamps, retaining bezels and stalk, it was about $325 installed at my Nissan dealer. Wish they worked independent of the headlamps, but I'm happy with 'em.

wont mess up a thing. go to auto zone, advanced, pep boys, what ever you have around and go to the wiring section and find one of these http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&P artnumber=071-580 you will need the one for the mini buss fuses. it will come with a couple of fuses. cut the connector off as close to the connector as you can and strip it. you will need a blade connector to crimp on the wire. i had to grind it down to make it fit. now remove the fuse for your tail lights(parking lights) in the fuse box under the hood. plug the add a circuit into that fuses place and plug the fuse back into that. now remove the fuse from the fog light socket. turn on your ignition and turn on the fogs, you need to use a test light to find the HOT side. turn the key off and plug the blade connector into the COLD side of the foog light fuse. what you are basicly doing is jumping the power fron the parking lights to the fogs. you also need to plug the fuse you took out of the fog light socket and plug into the second empty plug on the add a circuit. put the cover back on the fuse block and thats it. i can post some pics if you need to actualy see it. it may make it easier.

On my SE 4x4 there's an empty switch position next to the cargo lamp switch. I was thinking about putting a switch there and wiring fogs into it.

While we're on the topic I had some questions too. Did you guys get Nissan fogs or some aftermarket lamps? How difficult is it to get those inserts out of the positions in the bumper (haven't tried yet)?

BTW I have an 06, but its probably the same stuff

funny --- i was told by the dealer that they couldnt order any for me cause "nissan had no fog lamps for the 06's".... unless you go with the nismo or aftermarket route.....hmmmmm

im still gonna get some though but common.
