Hi,

New guy here.
Just bought an 08 CrewCab 4.0 SE With Value package, Long bed.
I paid 17,000 and some change before tax and license.
did I do OK?  Or should I have waited until September?  A little negotiator's remorse.

I know the veterans will tell me to just be happy...  And that's cool,

I'm just wondering what the hagglers think.
Thanks for your opinions!!!

..

As a rule I think the best deals are at the end of a week, the end of a month and just after their lot starts filling with the next model.

Have a good one and C U later Don S..

I joined a self help group but I'm the

only one that ever shows up.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but here are Northbay Nissan's (Petaluma) advertised specials from this weekend's SF Chronicle:

'08 Crew Cab 2wd SE long bed w/auto and VTP-$15k (5 @ this price)
'08 King Cab 4wd SE w/auto and VTP-$16k (3 @ this price)
'08 Crew Cab SE 4wd w/auto and VTP-$17k (5 @ this price)

These guys are the Northbay's volume dealer and hard to beat price-wise. I don't see how anyone is making a dime at these prices, but it's great if you're in the market. BTW, the second listing for the KC 4wd SE @ $16k is $150 LESS than I paid for my well-equiped XE 5 spd manual from them in '07. So don't feel too bad!

You all should be Happy you don't have to shop in Canada add 12 g's to your prices and that's what we pay  ++++ damn taxes . Guess where I'm  looking?

I think Nissan has no respect for the Canadian market we get burned by their pricing  all the time .. I read an article ( Newsweek I think it was) and it went on to show that up here we pay an average of 25%+ more for the same vehicles sold in the US .

Their rational for this is-- numbers , we don't have the same volume . My answer to that is where on the same continent . 80% of the Canadians leave within a  couple of hundred mile of the US .

I could go on about the 5.68 /gal that we pay for our gas and yet we export most of our oil to the US market .Clap I should stop here  I'm digressing > Ouch
