Anyone else had trouble with their tire pressure monitorng system?  My 06 NISMO has a constant tire waring light on.  Is there any way to disable the system and have the light stay off for good?

Thanks alot!

... and you have had everything checked out? No slow leak or anything? Do you have after market rims?

Once the tire is brought up to proper pressure, it has to stay there for about 15 miles/25 km before the light turns off.

..

We have a 2008 Camry with 700 miles on it. the tire light came on before we got home from the dealership about 24 miles. We just ignore it.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

I have not heard anything about Nissan's in particular but sometimes there is a pressure monitor on the spare tire. Try that

If the TPM comes on - air up the tires and drive over 16 MPH for a short distance. Shut off the vehicle and the TPM light shout be out. You have to drive over 16
MPH.

Short answer in no. The TPMS system is hooked into the CPU in the truck and is not a seperate plug n play type piece. It can't be unplugged. You might be able to disable it with a diagnostic computer.

I had trouble with mine initailly when I switched to a winter tire setup with a different set of OEM rims.

The dealer had to change the whole CPU. Still didn't get the light to go out. I tried to explain I had two sets of rims and the TPS worked with one and not the other but they still swapped out the CPU

I figure one of the sending units in the rims is baffed but I gave up on the dealer as I had to take it back three times after they changed the cpu to get them to turn on the auto light setting the DRL setting.

Yup.  Just had the same problem with my 2006 Frontier LE CC.  Turns out it was the spare tire.  Never would have thought it was monitored too.....
