Hi everyone,
I'm researching older model Frontier pick ups, and have noticed something
that I can't find answer for: When I go to various auto information web sites
and compare the specifications for the frontier, 2wd, small engine, king cab,
between 2003 and 2004, I find very few differences in the specs...engine
performance, body sizes, truck length, etc etc....EXCEPT when it comes to
payload weight capacity. The 2003 payload capacity is 1400 lbs, and the
2004 is rated at 1045 (plus or minus). That means the 2004 frontier is rated
at less than the 2003 for payload capacity. If you deduct driver and
passenger weight, plus perhaps a canopy shell the carrying capacity of the
2004 doesn't look very good. What's up with this?
Can anyone explain why this is? Thanks
