All, I have been reading through the forum and have really enjoyed seeing some of the insight from other Frontier owers.  I have just purchased an '05 Frontier Nismo CC used and LOVE it.  I have the R/F sound system and the sunroof package.

I do have 2 questions about the truck:

1. It seems that I have some problems with the sunroof and the noise (it sounds like a whine or whistle)

2. In my previous vehicle, I had XM installed aftermarket, however when reading through, I see that Nissan offers an XM package.  If I have the R/F head, is there a way to prevent use of the FM modulator and use something that can be directly hooked into the radio head unit?

I look forward to hearing comments and suggestions!

Well I can help a little with the sunroof.  I would check all the seals, and even if it's fully closing.  If either the seals are bad, or the roof isn't closing all the way you'll get a whistle.

Thanks for the advice, I will take a look!  I thought that it was strange that it was still whistling even though it looks completely closed!

..

GoPack44;

... I can close mine and it will whistle sometimes but if I lock it it is quiet. I really like mine!

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State . A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem. Or drink all your beer!

Some sunroofs just project that wind noise though.  It's amazing how much noise my Highlander's sunroof actually makes when I don't have the sunblocker closed.

Thanks for the help guys!  I found the problem, it was one of the luggage racks that was causing the issue.  It looks like wind was getting caught under there and whistling away!
