w/in the last few days i've started to have an issue with my keyless entry/lock remote, it actually still unlocks and locks the doors on my 01 SE CC, however, the lights only flash when i lock it, but w/o the horn sounding. when i unlock it, the doors unlock, but no lights flashing as normally happens. I wouldn't think it would be the battery in the remote, since it is actually still sending signals to lock and unlock it. anyone else had same issues?

Mine does the same since I owned it...The only way I know it unlocked is the dome light inside comes on....

If you want the horn to chirp and lights to blink when locking the door go next to the truck and hold the lock and unlock button on the remote till the truck flashes the lights. Then it will do the chirp. there are 2 different modes for the keyless entry and that is how you change between them.

i did not know that you could switch b/w the two modes, (me thinks it's probably in the manual somewhere, and i probably inadvertantly switched b/w the two, and could have found the solution had i just read) but i'll give it a shot, thanks
