Hi guy's , im new to Fronty's as i've wrenched on Honda's until now.

Well on a Honda engine if the idle jumps up and down most likly its the idle air control valve (aicv). Ive swapped those out before. But this 2000 Frontier KK i just bought has me stumped. Ive checked all the vacum lines as well as pulled for any codes on the ECU and found none on either. Any help on this would be great. I'm very anal when it comes to tuning my cars and to have this truck sounding like shat bugs the hell out of me.

Thanks in advance,

Sean

All good suggestions...

Also try spraying the MAFS with a little carb cleaner.  Sometimes they get gunk on them and will improperly read the incoming air, resulting in rough/erratic idle.

Good Luck.

Nissan spark plug wires are pretty durable. They aren't a moving part so they don't wear out too often. A careful inspection of your plug wires can avoid any problems.
