My Frontier is about 1.5 years old and has 18,000 miles on it. The clutch just quit. The dealer informs me that the warranty on the clutch is 1 year/12k miles. Am I just unlucky, or has anyone else had this problem?

I don't tow anything and can't think of any special circumstances that might cause this. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

O.K., I guess I will accept that, but have you seen clutches going out that early?

no i still have a 1992 hardbody with over 500000 mile on it and it still till this day has the original clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing in it all depends on how you drive it like downshifting say you are on the interstate doing 65 mph and you downshift to 3rd most people will push in the clutch put it in third and just dump it that will tear the f**k up out a clutch the propper way is to put it in third and rev it to if you are doing 65 and you want to put it in third you would rev to around 4000 to 5000 rpm and that will put you at the rpm you need to be at and it will be smooth not jerkey and you are not tearing your clutch up
