Hello all,

New to forum but learned alot so far. I have an 02 s/c cc that I purchased after I lost my car to Katrina, I have a 2.4 pulley on S/C and a K&N FIPK. 46,000 miles. Since july, I have experienced a major loss of power, like I am driving with the E brake on, when the temp outside gets above 80. I had the fuel system flushed in december at the dealership ($200) to try to resolve getting 13 mpg. but this is the least of my problems. I feel like I am towing a piano when i accelerate. it does not happen first thing in the morning or after the truck sits for a while. since it is hot and humid in New Orleans i usually am using the A/C when the sun is out. Dont know if the heat has anything to do with it or maybe just coincidence. any help will keep my sanity and be greatly appreciated

Have you pulled any codes from the ECM? I would do that first. is the check engine light on? if not I would lean twords it being a knock sensor it wont trip the ECM light but it does retard the timing= less power on a NA engine not a big deal but on an SC very important it is working.

Hi!  I'm a noob to this forum, and I know this is probably coming too late, but I have a suggestion for undr wtr n nola:  check the fuel filter.  Recently had to have mine replaced on my '02 s/c.  It was running poorly (loss of power).  It runs a little better now, but still something is wrong.  Going in to get a new knock sensor next week.  I hope that helps with the power loss and poor fuel economy.

laters.
