hello I'm new here. Excuse my English.
I recently bought a 2016 4x2 Frontier series S king cab 2.5
lt. gasoline. Checking for a noise, my mechanic told me it
had kind of diff lock, because the 2 wheels spinned in the
same direction when lifted. I took it to a slipperty
spot, put it on 1st gear and push down the gas pedal
firmly. The result was 2 even tracks, I repeated with the
Dinamyc Control off and again I got 2 even tracks.
So, does it really have a LSD diff?? If so, I'd like to
change the oil, is it 75W-90?

If You are haveing problem's with the Rear End,, I would
take it to Nissan and let them check it out..
The Lubricant to use is Specified in Your Owner's Manual.
The Differential Spec's will be described in Your Owner's
Manual and/or the Genuine Nissan Service Manual which you
can download by doing a Google Search.
Be sure to Check the Level of the Current Lubricant
before doing anymore driveing is my advice.
