I droped a bolt down the defost vent and stuck in the control and could not turn the vent contrl nob. So I pulled the dash. that all work out OK. But now I have a flaching air bag light. (HELP)

You must have turned the truck on while the dash was apart.  The only way I found to get the light off is one of the 2 options below.

1.) Take to dealer

2.) Find somone with a Snapon Solus (or OBD II Air Bag system capable scanner) to clear the code.  Some hand modules cannot read the Air Bag system codes.

try disconnecting the battery for 24hr that may also reset the computer  or take it to a parts store and have them reset it

Disconnecting the battery does not clear a Air Bag code.  The code is put into the ECU's history, and due to safety reasons, can only be cleared with the proper module.
