Hello WW,

Glad to have you here.

I'm on my 2nd Nissan since 1993 with a '93 4cyl KK Hardbody
AT 2wd. Drove it for 20 year's and then got a '13 V6 KK
Frontier AT 2wd. So far do good.

Carvana recently offered me more than I paid New for my '13
that I bought New 8 Year's ago, so I feel ok about my
purchase.

Among Truck's I consider the Frontier lite duty, but if
taken care of, not abused and used within the rated spec's
for Hauling, Towing, etc., I think they'll last for a long
time.

I recommend changeing out the Rear Axle Oil early to remove
manufactureing remnant's. I changed mine out @ about 2K
mile's and the magnet was covered pretty good with fine
metal particle's.   If I had 4wd I would be changing out
the 4wd oil reservoir's as well. Just make sure you have
the Right Fitting Socket allen/square/star Head's
beforehand. Some have damaged the Bolt Fitting's by trying
to use loose fitting head's and then faced with replace or
repair for being ill prepared.

Take the Rear Axle Vent out, Clean with Diesel Fuel and
Blow out with compressed air about once a year. Stay out
of Unnecessary Water and Mud for the same reason, as dirty
water can get into the Rear Axle Oil and Mud can Block the
Air Flow. Mud and Water are 2 of the Worst thing's for a
Truck imo.

Regards,

Thanks Rubble
Good advice. I did mid travel suspensions on my Yotas.
What's funny is that I live not far from Toytec Lifts.
Was a regular there. I know the owner. Now instead of
going to Toytec I go to Nisstec Lifts. It's not far from
Toytec. Turns out the owner of Nisstec used to work at
Toytec years ago. Toytec was getting enough Nissan work
that it was decided to start a new company to cater to
Nissan owners. I already bought the diff breather
relocation kit. I'll be doing a mid travel lift on this
new truck and full skids. I just got the Frontier a
couple weeks ago. I'm waiting to see how much
registration is going to hurt my wallet. Once that's out
of the way I'll start the modding "thing" again. It was
time to downsize and wasn't interested in the new gen
Taco at all. I didn't consider anything else. I really
like this new look Frontier. Perfect for my needs.

WW,

Another thing that you can do is put a Thick Coating of
Grease covering the Battery Terminal's, cable end's, and
any bear metal @ the Terminals/Cable's. Do this before
Corosion set's in. It'll save you some grief later on.

Get you a Schumaker SP1297 3A Lead Acid/Lithium Ion Battery
Charger. The 1297 will show the % of Charge @ Hookup. If
the charge is less than 95% then let it Fully charge up.
If @ 95% or more, I disconnect and check it in about
another week or
so.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0756PV96N/ref=emc_b_5_t

Wipe the Grease off and connect the Quick Connect's for a
much cleaner way of connecting the charger and then reapply
another thick coat of Grease to the Terminal's. That is
onless you like cleaning Corrosion off of the Terminal's &
Cable Ends. Get some extra Cable End Connector's for the
Lawn Mower, Tractor, Motorsikle, etc.

These Truck's have a lot of Electronic's that will drain
the Battery and the System seem's to have a Low charge
Rate, maybe to help MPG. I don't know, but the SP1297 is
worth the money imo.

Regards,

Hello everyone, I'm from South Carolina My name is Ed and recently purchased a 22 P4X. Love the truck. I have applied tailgate decals, have front decals on order and recently decided to install a oil catch can, so ordered one today.  Anyone have additional mods they think i should consider

ED,

Is the Oil Catch Can approved by Nissan?

Be careful with Mod's, they can affect Resale Value
Negatively, especially on the Engine, Exhaust, &
Suspension.

Many Try to Reinvent the Wheel with Mod's but when it
come's time to Resale all that Modding Reduce's instead of
increaseing Resale Value.

Thing's that will increase Resale Value is OE Class IV
Hitch Receiver, Side Body Gaurd's, Hood Protector, Aluminum
Tool Box, Step Rail's, Bed Liner.

One of the Best thing's that You can do is get you some
Cheap Neoprene Seat Cover's. They will save the OE Seat's
and will return more than You paid for them, as long as you
don't pay too much. Soon as I got my '13, I ordered a 30 $
Set of Universal Neoprene's off of Amazon or EBay (Can't
Remember Which), and they are still holding up after 8
year's @ 17K Mile's.

Nobody want's to buy a Used Truck with Hole's in the Seat
or Thread Bare. One of the 1st thing's that a Person
look's @ when they open the door is the Seat.

I put Cheap Neoprene Seat Cover's on a '93 Hardbody that I
bought New from the GetGo. I wore out 3 set's over 20
year's and 174K miles, but after I got my '13, I took off
the last set of Seat Cover's to discover that the Seat's
Still looked like Brand New, not even Faded, I was
Astounded. 1st person that looked @ that '93 gave me 4K
Cash, and I paid 10K for that '93 4cyl, 2wd, AT, KK, brand
new.

I know there's lot's of talk about the Carbon build up
"Supposedly", on the New 3.8L Frontier Engine's, but Nobody
has shown any Proof that I have seen about that happening
on the Frontier 3.8L Engine's. Just a lot of What If Talk
on the Internet from what I've seen.

What You going to say if you do the Oil Catch Can, Have
Problem's and Nissan Say's what's that Thing you put on the
Engine About?   Talk with the Service Manager @ Nissan and
the Nissan Master Tech before you go messing with the
Engine Mod's.

I saw pic's of where One Dufus put some Fake Wood Overlay
on his Dash Panel. Beforehand there was Nothing was wrong
with his Dash, but after he finished, it looked tacky and
didn't lay flat around the edge's, Looked like a Donkey's
Butt IMO and may have reduced the resale substantially. I
would have reduced the Resale value by 5K and still
wouldn't have bought it.

Easy on the Mod's is my Advice for what it's worth.

Regards,
