My OE Nissan Battery was about 6 1/2 year's old, and
starting to get a bit Sluggish, so about 2 week's ago I
started looking for a New Battery for my 2013 V6
Frontier. I've had an AGM Battery in the Lawn Mower for
about 5 year's now, and that is over twice as long as
any battery has ever lasted in the LawnMower. So I
wanted an AGM.

Looked on Amazon, EBay, Advance, Orielly's, AutoZone,
Batteries Plus, & PepBoy's. Pepboy's seemed to have the
Best Price on a Direct Fit AGM with a 650CCA, 25%
Discount, and Free Delivery.

https://www.pepboys.com/champion-agm-battery-group-
size-35/product/2071581

I just checked and they still have the 25% Discount.
The Install was a Perfect Fit. I connected my EZRed
Memory Saver before I disconnected the Old Battery and
didn't have any problem's with the Truck after the
Install.

I got a very good deal on the EZ Red, but if I hadn't I
might have purchased this memory saver on EBay:

I may have jumped the gun on the Old Battery, cause I
used my Schumacher 1.5A Charger Maintainer to charge
the old battery back up and amazingly it was keeping a
Full charge, but it was getting old and I didn't want
to have it fail suddenly which sometime's they will.

Since this is a New AGM I also opted to change out my
1.5A Charger Maintainer with a 2A Schumacher charger
Maintainer that is compatible with , AGM, Gel Cell,
Deep Cycle type Battery, & Standard Lead Acid---which I
hope I won't have to purchase anymore, cause I don't
much like fooling around with Battery Acid. I found the
best price of the New Schumacher SP1296 @
AdvanceAutoParts.com Online with another 25% discount
and Free Delivery!

12v-fully-automatic-battery-charger-maintainer-sp1-
replacement-sp1296/11887894-P?
searchTerm=schynacger+2a+charger+maintainer

Here is the 25% Code for the Charger: G567BX

I have used the Schumacher 1.5A charger Maintainer's on
the LawnMower, Tractor, and Pickup for year's and
Year's, so I expect the 2A Fully Automatic Charger
maintainer to be as good or better than the 1.5A. They
charge Slowly and they say a slow charge helps the
battery last longer. Since I use this charger on a
Small 12v Lawnmower Battery I wanted to keep the Max
Charge Amperage to 2 Amps.

1st thing I did after getting the New Battery Installed
with Cable's Connected, Put a Thick Coating of Grease
over the Terminal's and Cable End's To cover any
exposed Metal to Prevent Battery Corrosion. I've seen
so many Corroded Battery Terminal's and if gone
untended is a Repair Waiting to Happen. You don't need
those Felt Washer's Battery Spray Paint, etc; It's so
easy just cover all the bear Metal surface's includeing
the Bear Metal Cable End's with any multipurpose
Grease. I started doing this a long time ago, sometime
before 1988 and since, have Never Ever had Battery
Terminal Corrosion Since. The Trick is a Thick Coating
of Grease on all the Bear Metal Surface's.

We are in the Middle of Winter here in the USA, so
maybe this little posting will help you and help save
you some money as well.

I have gone through a bunch of chargers for my cars/trucks, boats, and mule.  I have had some really good ones and really bad ones.  Some have maintained the battery perfectly (trolling motor battery charger I have now, Black and Decker I believe) and some that absolutely cooked the battery.

With all the garbage that comes from China, I think we are on our own for a bunch of them.

Pacer,

I should have updated this Thread that I started, cause
after I used the SP1296 2AMP Charger on different
batterie's I didn't like the way it was chargeing and I
was afraid that it may have been overchargeing the
batterie's.

I returned it, they gave me a Refund and then I ordered
the Schumacher 3A SP1297 charger maintainer from
Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-SP1297-Automatic-
Battery-Maintainer/dp/B0756PV96N

I've used the New SP1297 Charger for quiet a while
now,, and I really do like it. It will only charge
12v Batterie's, Not 6V,, but that is OK cause I don't
have any 6V Batterie's and I can't remember ever
haveing any in the Past.

What I really like about the SP1297 3AMP is that it
will charge 12V Lead Acid, AGM, Gel Cell, & Deep Cycle
BAtterie's. It will also charge 12V Lithium Ion
Batterie's too.

The great thing that I really like is when you 1st hook
the battery up, the Charger will display the Current
State of Charge % that the Battery is in and then it
will start Chargeing and Will Display the Batterie's
State of charge in % as it is being charged, In Real
Time.

I've used the SP1297 on the 230 CCA Lawn Mower AGM
Battery, the 650 CCA Truck AGM Battery, and the 840 CCA
Lead ACid Flooded Tractor Battery.

Work's great and it doesn't take a long time to get
them up to Full Charge.

I'm glad that you responded to my thread,, so I could
give an Update and change my Recommendation to the
Schumacher SP 1297 12V 3AMP Lead Acid,AGM,GEL Cell,
Deep Cycle/Lithium Ion charger Maintainer.

The SP1297 cost's a little bit more than the Sp1296,,
but IMO it is well worth it.

Regards,

UpDate:

The SP1297 came with 1 permanent pictail quick
connect/disconnect. These are Great because I don't
have to disturb the Grease that is Thickly put on to
cover up the Cable End's as well as the terminal's to
prevent Corrosion.

I have the quick connect pigtail's on all 3 of my
machine's. The SP1297 came with one,, but I wanted 2
more to use when the old Pigtail Wireing Insulator's
starts to Crack from rubber/plastic Rot.

Shumacher wanted 15 $'s for one,, but I found these and
got 3 for less than Schumacher wants for one. Also
these have bigger Eyelet's than the Schumacher's:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ring-Terminal-To-SAE-
Motorcycle-Wire-Connector-Cable-For-Battery-
Schumacher/382807243632?
hash=item592116fb70:g:~t4AAOSw94Ncc5zR

These are also fused like the OE Schumacher's.
Schumacher's have a 7.5A Fuse,, and the After market's
have a 10A Fuse. I opted to change out the 10A fuse's
with 7.5A Fuse's that I got a Good Price off of EBay
on, and Way less than Harbor Freight or WalMart's.

This is one of the Big Reason's that I try to stick to
Schumacher Brand because it is so popular that
Aftermarket accessorie's are available at a much lower
price and fit perfect.

Regards,
