It is not within my means to pay for a vehicle history
report. So, I am considering alternatives to paid
services like Carfax and AutoCheck.

As I was searching on the net for car reports, I found
this
free VIN Check

Not sure if legit. I wish to ask if there is any
member who knows this service and can tell me more
about it.

Should I trust it as a reference, or should I still
opt for a paid service with an established reputation
like Carfax or AutoCheck? Any input would be highly
appreciated.

Hello,

I ran a VIN through the link that you provided on a
Vehicle I know about, and it seemed legit and fairly
accurate.

Some of the Figure's such as mileage was assumed on
their part and was off in reality, but otherwise fairly
accurate as far as I could see.

I don't recommend buying from the younger crowd
especially if they used it for offroading. Be
extremely careful buying a V6 Frontier between 2005 and
2010. It would have to be in Pristene condition in
those year's for me to even consider it, no check
engine light, Engine should be Quiet when idleing, if
Auto Trans. be sure to check the Fluid on dipstick for
correct lite pink color/No Burnt Smell, Check Radiator
coolant for correct color and condition, Auto
Transmission should shift smooth after the Engine is at
operating temperature and doesn't show any sign's of
slippage.

After 2011 if the Truck is in Good Condition without
any check engine light, engine idle's smooth and quiet,
Transmission Shift's smooth with no slippage, Test
Drive at speeds at least up to 75 and no problem's or
unusual noises from anywhere.

The Nissan Frontier is the least expensive New Truck
available, so we have a certain # of punk's that buy
these with the intent of Abuseing them during the
Warranty Period and then get rid of them close to the
end of the warranty period, because they know that the
Truck is Ruined and will be plagued with problem's for
the next owner. So be very aware of who you are buying
from. A Young Person 16-35 is an automatic Red Flag.

If at all possible buy a New Basic Frontier. Buying
New is the Safest Bet IMO. If you go to your Bank and
get preapproved, then go to TrueCar to see the lowest
price paid for a Basic Frontier, that is the Out The
Door Price and you should be able to get a New Frontier
for that same price. If you happen to have a Nissan
Vehicle,, call Nissan Consumer Affair's and ask them
for a Nissan Loyalty Discount, That's what I did,, and
it helped me a Whole Lot, and I do mean a Whole Lot.

I just checked Truecar on a New Basic Frontier and in
my area the lowest price paid was at or around 16
Thousand. That is an out the door price too. It
varie's per Region, and in your region it might even be
less.

I'm on my 2nd Nissan Truck and so far with my 2013 so
good. I drove a '93 Nissan Hardbody for 20 year's
before getting the '13 and that '93 proved to be a
Really Good Truck.

I hope maybe something I said will help you and Good
Luck.
