Hey everyone.
98 frtonier 4x4. Not sure of the trim
I Was tracing a coolant leak which brought me to a pipe running under
the lower manifold. I got off both manifolds but the top left bolt by
cylinder 5 snapped at the top by the head. I have about 1-1.5” of stud
sticking out.
I’ve tried heating it with a torch, using vice grips, soaking with PB but of
to no avail. The side wards head make it a challenge to get a good grip
and rip with the vice grips.
Any tricks would be much appreciated.

..
I just now discovered this post... sorry
Sadly I don't have much to offer.
I'd look for some old mechanics to talk to.
I would think try to freeze the stud might help.
Dry ice or nitrogen?
Good Luck.. Don S..

stud remover socket, heat, may end up drilling and
tapping.
