i just came from the dealership when the service approched me he said he's lots more complaints just you. he said called nissan, nissan is working on the problem , service manager said theychange  something in the 2006 dosen't affect the 2005 so he said. my personal opion is that the rack portion that is mounted on rubber bushing are not torch properly and the shaft bearing that into the gear itself is bad, the part that makes the bend is shaft i'm talking about. mine have movement of about 2-1/2" at 2,000 i'd what it like at 5,000 it woul be broken in two. check your truck have someone turn the steering wheel in accesory on and watch you also if you have to much latch between your gears also
