Hi all, in the process of adding driving lights to the
glorious crew cab. Using the ARB wiring harness I need to
connect to the high beam wire for the switch harness.
Really don't want to run another wire to the headlight in
the front would rather tap into the wire under the dash if
at all possible. Everytime I screw with some makeshift
connector under the hood it corrodes so I thought tapping
into the wire under the dash would prevent this. The
wizards of smart here in the Northeast use heavy amounts of
calcium and salt in the winter months.

Auxiliary lites should be controlled on the low beam side.
Why don't you get the switch from Nissan, or better yet,
get the whole kit?

I installed an ARB bumper and added the fog light kit and
wired into the pre-existing factory wiring and installed
a new factory stalk which has the fog light switch. the
ARB wiring loom works for 2 130 w max, has a built in
relay, 25amp fuse and 2 amp fuse for switch and is made
for on and off high beam. From what I understand driving
lights should be wired to the high beam to extend the
light source and for the safety of oncoming drivers who
would be blinded if you didn't dim them down, no doubt
some pointy headed bureaucrat is watching out for us and
made this a law and with the anal annual inspection, I
would have a problem with getting it inspected...as I am
not back out in desert country...sigh. However, I do
understand why one would want a low beam and driving
lights as it gives you best of side and distance...but
that is my reasoning...
