I bought my first car a few months ago, it's a 02 Frontier XE King Cab.
With it's 2.4Liter engine it doesn't have much power (and i didn't really expect it to). Needless to say im not that car savvy but i would like to do some mods to my truck to enjoy the ride a little more on the street and when i move back to california i'ed like to hit some mud holes in comfort. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

If you really want to hit mud, you will need to most likely invest in some type of power adder, be it a turbo, supercharger, or different truck.  The 2.4 will probably be quite marginal in the mud.

I figured it wouldn't be awesome in deep mud. I just want to know i can play around without breaking anything and like i said before; im interested in seeing what addons i can do to make it a little above the stock truck it is.

is it 4x4? i'm wondering cause i wasn't sure if on the 02's they made 4x4 with the 4banger. however on the old hardbodies i've read posts that state that the 2.4 engine is great for playing with cause i'ts hard to kill, plus if you were wanting to spend a good chunk of money...i believe you can garnish some decent power and torque out of it..just depends on how much you want to spend, plus there is a myriad of parts that have been made for the KA24 engines, i think that kcidmil could tell you more about that..he's pretty saavy on these engines from what i've seen
