I just reach 100,000 miles on my 06 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab 4x4 MT and I noticed that my service engine light was ON, is there a service checklist I need to perform on my truck? Last month, I recently change my 4 tires as well as 4 rotors and pads. Oil change and cabin filter was also performed.
Thanks.

+1 on that, definitely stick with NGKs. AC Delcos are
junk, E3s are a joke, Denso isn't too bad but they don't
respond as well with Nissan motors. Quite honestly after
owning both Nissan's and Toyota.
NGK for Nissan Denso for Toyota.

I already ordered the NGK plugs. What about the scanner? Should I purchase the OBD 2,  I'm investing on tools but I just want to get the reasonably price scanner?

OBD Scanners are one of those items that you get exactly
what you pay for. The biggest thing you'll run into is
they'll read all the engine codes in that series. But
when it comes to ABS, Airbag, and trans you're kinda
screwed.
Unless you're willing to throw down a lot of $$$.

If you want something that can hit a decent year range
that will scan the OBDII and some OBDI. Snap on has a kit
out for $280. Go to snap on's site and search YA3120

I've had a lot of hands on time with a few different full
range scanners, and my favorite by far was the MODIS.
Next one would be the Genisys scanner.
