 just bought my 1st Nissan, I've always been a hardcore Toyota and Ford guy until now. I still love Toyota and Ford but this truck is really nice and has some nice power for a V6.

A little about myself,

I'm 29 years old from South Carolina, enlisted in US Marine Corps and stationed at NAS JAX as an instructor for Aviation Support Equipment. I've been into offroading since I was a kid, my dad was into it really bad too. I was stationed Yuma, Az where I got into rock crawling and I'm hooked on that, don't really like playing in deep mud or going out the mud bog. I've owned a few nice 4wds in the past most of which I wish I would kept. My past 4wd list is 87 Bronco II, 89 Wrangler, 91 Ranger(ARB f/r 33"), 91 Land Cruiser, 84 Toyota X-Cab(5.29s Locked rear 33"), 2002 Ford F350 crewcab turbo diesel short bed, and currently as my trail truck a 91 4Runner ARB airlocker in the rear, ARB bumper with M8000(POSW), 32" BFG m/t, Snorkel, Sout rear bumper, and a few other little things. I plan on SASing my 4Runner soon so I run the 37" MTRs I have sitting my back yard, I also have a solid front axle back there too. I just bought a 2005 storm gray crew cab 4x4 SE Frontier. I was going to get a Tacoma but a crew cab Taco is hard find around here. The reason I started looking at Nissan's is cause I almost a 02 Xterra to replace the 4Runner as a offroader but my wife didn't want something that nice to get beat up on the trail. While I was researching the Xterra I noticed the power ratings of the Frontier and was impressed. Which ever I got had to have my wife approval. So I started looking for both Tacoma's and Frontiers and luck has it that I found the 05 Frontier that I now own. My wife liked it as much as the Taco and pleased with the test drive. I was very pleased on the test drive it was very quik and lived up to all the reviews I read about it. It only had 10,500 miles and I got it for $19,600 and $21,373 out the door. I feel/think I got a good deal on it, I wish it was a Nismo but I'm not going to wheeling it so it disn't matter to me. The Frontier is going to be my daily drive and maybe to pull the 4Runner to the a few far off trails.

I've also owned a few Mustangs in the past as well, 6 total with of them being Cobra's.

I look forward to owning the Frontier for a long time and modding it up a little. I've already odered a Calmini spacer lift for it cause it sits low in the front and I'm going to run some 285 ATs.

I'm glad I found the site and I hope it grows as the Frontier gains its respect in the truck world.

..

usmcracing;

... Welcome to the group. Hope the Frontier gives you many years of good service as mine has.

Speaking of service, Thanks for being a Marine. I'm on a forum for the old Full Size Jeeps and there are a lot of Marines with FSJs. These guys got to be tough.. ...

Have a good one and CUL.. Don S..

Welcome to the org

I would have to say you're our first Marine... some of us are Air Force, other's from all over the states and world.

I've mostly been a Nissan person, while enjoying Toyota as well.  I'm fixing to get a Ford F-350 w/Powerstroke next week.  Leveled with 35"s.  Mostly used to haul my project car around.

Not too much, it can get busy at times, but usually during the week.  Guess most people are busy playing on the weekend to chat on here.

If you go to the bottom at the main page, you'll see the list of those members signing in for the day.  But most just check the posts, and leave.  Few actually write something.
