I recently replaced the clutch on my 2000 Frontier with a 2.4 ,manual trans. After a few months a noise started when i would shift gears. I dont think its a grinding noise such as a bad gear but more like the clutch doesnt fully engage.  It was a clutch kit from NAPA auto parts which came recommended to me. I tried bleeding the slave cylinder and checking the hydraulics for leaks. Any guesses?

Do you mean the clutch doesn't fully dis-engage??? How is
it going into gear when the vehicle is stopped? How much
"free-play" is at the top of the clutch pedal?

It seams as though the clutch does not fully disengage while shifting gears. At a a stop the gears go in ok. When i bleed the clutch cylinder the pedal gets stuck all the way down and i have to manually lift it to pump the pedal again. As far as freeplay it doesnt seem to have too much.

Follow the hydraulic line from the master cyl. to the slave
cyl. Somewhere on the firewall there should be a dampner
with a bleeder on it. Bleed this, then the slave cyl.
