The thermostat/outlet assy. is located on the front of the
timing chain cover drivers side of the engine. Best if you
get a Genuine Nissan replacement. As far as replacing it,
one bolt at a time. In all honesty, if you don't know where
it is or how to change it, you should leave it to a Nissan
dealer due to the fact of the refill procedure for the
coolant system and special vac. tool needed for the
procedure.

I was told that you should elevate the front of the truck when putting coolant in it, air in the system would rise to the highest point, which would be the RAD if truck elevated.
Is that true?

davidjbrady, on the modern day Nissan, it is very difficult
to properly refill the system w/o the proper vac. refill
tool.
