I just bought a 2007 Frontier Crew Cab and looking for a sub box. I found
one on www.supercrewsound.com for dual 10s. I already have 2 kicker cvr
10s with a mounting depth of 5 7/16 inch. www.supercrewsound.com says
that the box has a mounting depth of 5.25 inch. Will my 2 kicker cvrs fit
into this box? The local shop here said they might be able to cut out the
bottom of the inside of the box to fit these subs but weren't sure until they
see it. I just don't want to buy a box if it is uncertain. Thanks.

5-7/16 = 5.4375. If I remember correctly, sub boxes need to be sealed to make the subs work properly. If the bottom is cut out......

I like the factory sub in mine, but then I am not looking to rattle the license plates off...

He meant like a notch out of the inside of the box, not a hole all the way
thru the wood

Best bet would probably be to have a box built. You would be notching 3/16" out, and if the speaker is horizontal then that notch would be 3/16" deep by just over the diameter of the magnet.
