I'm finally getting my loan to get my 01 Fronty and I found a lil problem....if I can find out what piece I need before Monday, the dealership will pay for the repair.... Well, I'm not sure if it is a part of the control arm or what, but hopefully somebody will be able to help from the pics. The first 3 are the bad side (driver's side) missing the rubber piece and nut, the one of the is the passenger side which is still in good shape...I think all I would need is the rubber piece and the nut...any info quick would be really helpful. Thanks

..

Spliff;

... That is a sway bar or anti sway bar and the vertical piece is a connector link. The ‘rubber’ bushings or grommets are missing.

Have a good one ;) and CUL Don S.. aka lakota

Thats a easy fix. Just replace the sway bar link, if you have to, cut the old one off. The newkit should have a bolt ,washers, and nut. Five minute job.

Honestly, it sounds like your dealership is either lazy or dumb.

True - I wouldn't have much faith in that dealership.
This is an easy fix.

Well, I've called around...Pep Boys, Autozone, Advanced Auto, Slacks...and nobody has the damn piece that I need, maybe its listed under a different name or something. Is there an online spot I can order one from? I'm about to go on a thousand mile trip and I really don't want something happening on the ride up there.

Hmm... very interesting, it seems to be a dealer only item.  Same with the radiator supports on the old 3rd Gen Maximas.

You can search through junk yards, or find someone that makes the polyurethane bushings and see if they'll make a set.

One company (though I forgot their name) makes all ranges of sizes, you'd just have to match it up.

You just need a polyurethane sway bar bushing. Take one of them off and take it into the autoparts store with you.

The counter jockies sometimes get caught up on make and model. If it is not in the computer under 2005 Frontier they don't know what to do.
