For anyone who has neglected changing their in-cabin microfilter, don't. I've had my 07 CC 4X4 for almost 5 years and just changed mine for the second time yesterday. In addition to a nasty filter that was almost black, I had a ton of lint/debris/particles that were jammed in there. It look like a dryer lint catch that hadn't been cleaned out in a long time. Any way, I'm already noticing better air circulation. Thought I'd pass on my mistake so others don't make it.

Are you sure you don't have "critter intrusion"?

Parking outside like I did for three years or so really adds to the debris in that filter. Leaf particles, maple seeds, and other debris really built up. Now that I garage the truck, the filters stay a lot cleaner.
