Hi crowd. Here's a rundown of my sitch. I recently replaced my VR
engine with another lower mileage one. My original had started to give
me problems(P0300) which I thought may be just spark plugs, was i
wrong. Turned out the timing chain had slacked off knocking everything
out of whack and possibly bending my valves. I decided to just swap the
engine for good measure. Now I have the newer one in, but I am still
getting a P0300 code. The engine will start and idle @ spec (625rpm+/-
50; 15+/-5 BTDC), but rev it up past 2G and the MIL will start flashing
again. I replaced both O2 sensors( not the CATS tho, one was clean the
other was chock full of sh*te, both now leak) but seems like the engine is
not getting enough air. Haven't been able to detect any air leaks and I've
followed the recommended procedure via Nissan Service & Repair manual.
FYI- I was checking the continuity from A/F B1 sensor to ECM and the
terminals do not match up to what the manual says.

Why would you replace an O2 sensor for a P0300 code? Have
you done anything with the defective cat? Might want to
start there before it draws cat material into the new
engine and destroys it. May want to seek professional help.
